The 224-hour course hybrid learning course is designed to prepare the candidate to take the NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams. It combines online classroom sessions, as well as in-person lab and field internships at various locations in Montgomery County, PA.

This course meets every Wednesday and Thursday from 8:00 - 4:00 p.m. for "in person" sessions.  There is online content due each week as well.  Each week, on Monday at 8:00, all online assignments will be opened and the student has 24 hour online classroom access to complete those assignments at their own pace.  All assignments will then close and lock on Sunday at 11:55.  Clinical field time is required and will be accomplished on the student's own time.  Clinical sites will be provided to the students based on request and geographical location to their residence.

Students who have successfully completed the didactic and clinical components of this program will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Exam.

This emergency medical technician course is unique and considered a blended hybrid course.  It is designed to prepare the candidate to take the NREMT psychomotor and cognitive exams with the flexibility of learning. It combines online classroom lectures, as well as in-person lab and field internships at various locations in Montgomery County, PA.
Every Monday of each week starting at 8:00 am, all online course assignments open with access to instructor recorded lectures, video content, pre and post quizzes and module exams.  Students have 24 hour access and work at their own pace throughout the week.  At the end of the week on Sunday at 11:55 pm, all of the weekly assignments will close.  This course meets every Tuesday and Thursday night from 6:00 - 10:00 p.m. for mandatory "in person" sessions, as well as occasional weekends.  This allows the student to practice with equipment and hone their skills.  The location of this course for "in person" sessions will be held in the Harleysville area which will be announced based on enrollment.
Students who have successfully completed the didactic and clinical components of this program will be eligible to sit for the National Registry Exam.  Each student is responsible to provide personal health insurance and a photo ID at the start of the program as well as a current Pa. State Background Check and Child Abuse Clearance within one year of class registration.  Student shirt, blood pressure cuff, stethoscope, penlight and student liability insurance included in cost of class.  Book not included.

The primary focus of the Advanced Emergency Medical Technician is to provide basic and limited advanced emergency medical care and transportation for critical and emergent patients who access the emergency medical system. This 15-week course prepares candidates to take the National Registry exam.
